When you talk about great guitar players Derek Trucks name is sure to come up. He’s accomplished so much already, who knows he may go on to become one of the greatest guitar plays of all time. Born on June 8, 1979 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Plays Gibson SG 1961 Reissue with stopbar tailpiece.
His favorite amp is a Fender Super Reverb.
E is his favorite open tuning.
His uncle Butch was a founding member of the Allman Brothers Band.
A regular with the Allman Brothers he has also been the side man for Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy and Bob Dylan.
His band the Derek Trucks band plays a mix of blues, rock, jazz, Latin and Indian music.
Married to Susan Tedeschi — also a great blues singer and musician.
